Does anybody know how to train a cat or reprimand it to make it stop peeing on EVERYTHING?
My male fixed cat continuously pees on things. Mostly in the bathroom. Even if his litter box is freshly cleaned. We got rid of the bathroom mats, where he kept doing it, but now he just leaves puddles in the bathroom. I caught him peeing on our laundry TWICE. I don't know what to do. I've had male cats before, but I've never had this problem. Are you supposed to stick his face in it like a dog? Do I give him treats for peeing in the littler box? Do I have to get those stupid little animal diapers? He's already weird enough, to give him diapers is like... well, I'm not going to make that simile right now. Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I've started calling him not "Wookie" but "PeePee Kitty" perhaps to humiliate him so he'll stop, but he doesn't seem to care. Sometimes I think he doesn't even speak English... Maybe I should try German.

my mom's cat did that shit all the time.
after she took him to the vet and got him meds, he stopped.
he only pisses on things when they go out of town and he's mad.
don't put his face in his piss like a dog, cats will just lash out.

If they're leaving puddles it's a sign they have an infection.
Once that's cleared up, if he's still doing it, get him on a low dose of welbutrin...seriously

welbutrin!
Oh my God, they have that for cats? Crazy.July 14 2005, 18:01:04 UTC 6 years ago
DONE
Toss that shit out the window and get a new one. Free cats are pretty easy to come by, people give those things away CONSTANTLY.

Re: DONE
I know, but I love him besides the pee thing, AND my roommates spent a lot of money on him for me because he's one of those allergen/dander-free cats.July 14 2005, 18:44:17 UTC 6 years ago

cats.
What I was told to do (by a vet) is to put them in the bathroom with their litter box and food (put the food as far away from the box as possible). Leave the kitty in there until it starts using the box. This was the hardest thing in the world for me to do because my kitty would cry and skratch the door, BUTTT it works. Also, never stick the cats/dogs face in there "mess", if you don't catch them in the act then theres nothing you can do. If you put there faces in there mess then they just get confused, does nothing. hope that helped!July 15 2005, 17:28:24 UTC 6 years ago
Re: cats.
Yeah, but he already uses his box. I was joking about the sticking his face in it anyway. We've already gone over that. And next time, sign your name. I'm getting annoyed with the whole anonymous thing, and I'm about to go friends only.
